we manufacture high-quality high-pressure gas cylinders under our integrated production system in Japan.
SK CYLINDER provides a wide range of products, from general LP gas cylinders to special high-pressure gas cylinders, mainly at the Head Office Factory of KANTO KOATSU-YOKI Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Maebashi City. We have also built a high-level production system in cooperation with not only the Head Office Factory but also the Sagamihara Factory in Sagamihara City specializing in bulk storage tanks and the Kanto Katakura Factory in Maebashi City specializing in LP gas cylinders for automobiles to produce high-quality, high-pressure gas cylinders that meet the latest needs.
Head Office Factory of KANTO KOATSU-YOKI Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
The Head Office Factory has the head office administration department, which oversees the entire company, and the main manufacturing department. The factory manufactures a wide range of products, including LP gas welded cylinders with an annual production volume of 420,000 units, special welded cylinders for halon gas and fluorocarbon gas, and general seamless cylinders (50,000 units/year). The factory also produces stainless steel cylinders for semiconductor gas with precision inner surface polishing and the only acetylene gas cylinders in Japan for fusion cutting. As for aluminum alloy cylinders, aluminum cylinders and FRP cylinders made by Luxfer, which has the top share in the world, are shipped to customers in all industries.

High-performance five-axis robot arms are deployed on various cylinder manufacturing lines designed by us. The factory makes full use of one of the best automatic hot forging machines in Japan, the Hot Spinning Machine, to enable speedy mass production of seamless cylinders.
The factory has established a production system that complies with the laws and standards of each country, including Korea and China, as well as ISO 9001. In the design and manufacture of stainless welded cylinders, it has achieved the world’s highest level of clean performance through precision inner surface polishing, meeting the latest needs for gas for semiconductor manufacturing and other types of gases.

Sagamihara Factory/Bulk Division, KANTO KOATSU-YOKI Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
The Sagamihara Factory is one of Japan's largest production facilities for bulk storage tanks used in industrial, commercial, and housing complexes. The factory manufactures bulk storage tanks and large welded cylinders in a wide range of sizes, from 150 kg to 2.9 tons. It has also developed and manufactured a unique bulk storage tank, the only one of its kind in Japan, that realizes improved rust-proof performance of the main unit by spraying Galvalume. The factory is supplying products to meet new demands, such as winning a large share of the market in Okinawa, where salt damage is severe.
As a production base for bulk storage tanks with top-class manufacturing capacity in Japan
In March 2018, a new painting line was established in the Sagamihara Factory. The spray coating using the five-axis robot arm has realized uniform coating quality and speedy production. Also, the latest technology has been introduced into the welded process, enabling high-quality finishing without welding defects.
The Sagamihara Factory also manufactures bulk storage tanks for disasters, which are essential utilities in the event of a disaster. These tanks can be used not only for cooking at evacuation centers but also as an energy source for gas heat pump air conditioners (GHP) for heating and cooling, contributing to the protection of people’s lives in times of emergency.

KANTO KATAKURA Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
KANTO KATAKURA Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has many years of experience in the manufacture of LP gas welded cylinders for automobiles used in forklifts, taxis, and passenger cars. Together with the Head Office Factory of Kanto High Pressure Cylinder Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the company also manufactures LP gas welding cylinders for household and commercial use. The company also manufactures fluorocarbon gas cylinders for recovering CFCs from used equipment. It also contributes to the preservation of the global environment by preventing the release of ozone-depleting CFC gases into the atmosphere.
Manufacturing LP gas welded cylinders for automobiles as well as household and commercial use
In May 2018, a pressure-resistance testing device for automation was installed in the testing process. The company has further reduced labor and increased efficiency in the manufacturing process.
For example, the company has introduced LED lighting to factories, replaced various motors with high-efficiency models, and installed shading walls with plants to conserve energy. It is also working on Maru-K Activities to improve the workplace environment and have built a close production system in cooperation with the three factories.
